#Adobe encore cs6 creative cloud updateThis decision strangles people like me who use “Creative Cloud” as I cannot update to the latest software because I need the dynamic linking between Photoshop as it stands and Encore. It seems that we are all solid state and Vimeo producers these days when in the majority of cases it could not be further from truth.Īdobe has had many complaints from video professionals about this poor decision lets hope they see sense and revamp Encore to at least work for a few versions of CC rather than dump it all together. Once again we in the video production business will suffer because of a management decision taken by people who do not use the software to make their living. Some of you may mention Toast or the fact that FCPX can make DVDs but these are very limiting in the way they perform…good enough for client viewing copies but not for major jobs with multi menus and buttons. Many of my colleagues produce theatre shows for children and DVDs have always been the defacto way to produce and sell in large numbers.Īdobe have developed Encore as far as they are prepared to take it which poses an up and coming problem with those of us intending to buy the new MacPro in December, if Apple’s new Mavericks software which will be pre installed decides to cause problems with Encore…Adobe will not fix them ! The majority of clients, especially my educational sector are still looking for DVDs to hand out to patients, we in the up and coming “4K” industry forget that the general public are in general happy with their 500 line resolution DVD players, especially for educational purposes. So we no longer make old fashioned DVDs do we…October 2013 #Adobe encore cs6 creative cloud professionalSome “bright spark” within Adobe has decided that “WE” the buying professional no longer needs this application a bit like Apple who decided we had all gone over to solid state and therefore FCPX would not have the inbuilt facility for ingesting video tape. The CS6 applications are still available within the Creative Cloud subscription. #Adobe encore cs6 creative cloud downloadWhile installing these applications, there is no option to download Encore CS6, which is the last version of this program to be available. الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا - اللغة العربيةAdobe once again hits the headlines for all the wrong reasons many production companies have noticed that the new CC production suite does not come with Encore.Īdobe web site” With the new subscription model, Encore is no longer updated with the other Creative Cloud apps. As an aside, some coverage noted credit card companies had rules preventing businesses from doing this before and that the lawsuit prevents these types of rules, but that wasn’t reflected in the CBC News coverage.Īnyway, the main takeaway here is that businesses that accept credit cards can also add a surcharge to cover the cost of related fees for accepting said credit card. Plus, with the increased prevalence of credit cards, there were more fees, and more fees meant higher costs for businesses.Īs a result, the settlement did two things: first, it enabled businesses to claim a rebate for some of the fees paid between 20, and second, it gave businesses the ability to pass on credit card fees to customers. Interchange fees can, understandably, get quite expensive for businesses - especially with the increase in online purchases during the pandemic. These fees can range anywhere from one to three percent, depending on the card and its associated rewards (cash back, loyalty points, etc.). Credit card companies like Visa and Mastercard charge what are called interchange fees to businesses. The more important information, however, is the result of the settlement. Below I’ve linked a few articles that seem to concern this lawsuit, or similar lawsuits: For example, this CBC News story seems to match up to everything Telus said in its filing but notes the lawsuit was launched in 2011, not 2018. Overall, I’ve found a few different articles that seem to reference it, although some of the dates and information differs from article to article. I ended up doing more digging than expected to try and learn about this lawsuit. However, the filing itself was somewhat vague about the details. In its filing to the CRTC, Telus cited a 2018 lawsuit against credit card companies as the reason for it wanting to add credit card processing fees. The thing is, the result of this lawsuit may affect much more than your Telus bill - here’s what’s happening and what to watch out for to avoid paying extra credit card fees this fall. However, Telus’ proposed credit card processing fee hinges on the result of a lawsuit against credit card companies over these same fees. It costs $69.99 and is often available for less, either standalone or in the Topaz bundle. So its compositing needs more work at this stage.īut if you require masking beyond the usual dodging, burning and healing brush tools, ReMask is your best bet. #Topaz remask 5 motorcycle upgrade#But it does not support adding shadows- something vital for credible composites. ReMask5 is available as a free upgrade to anyone who owns an earlier version, or on sale for new folk at 30 off, 49.99 (normally 69. That said, ReMask does not require Photoshop layers for it to work. However tutorials on versions 4 and 3 are fine for tips on tricky selection and discarding issues such as when to use a Transparency brush, when to use the Blue ("compute") brush or how the Recovery slider works in practice. So far, there are only three that cover the latest version 5. Also I'd allow another day to check out the various video streaming tutorials. Blue offers a 'compute' to assist where the border between discard and keep will occur. Green means you want to keep that element of your image. Its 'TriMap' technology deploys colour coding for its visual digital scissors. I estimate it takes about a day of playing with its tools to understand its benefits and limitations. Topaz ReMask offers an interface and workflow to help trace and extrude an image from its background. The more time you invest using ReMask, the more satisfying the result.

There are two extra things you need to know about the desktop if you have more than one page. But if you have more than one page, it has a second function - as a special layer common to all your pages, allowing you to move objects from the page to the desktop, go to another page and then move those objects into the other page. If you have only one page, the desktop area works the same as the page layer. If you are using the pasteboard area as part of your page layout, you should probably consider using a larger page size instead. One way to think of the desktop is an area for temporarily parking design elements you are not currently using, but may wish to use later. If you go with flares or light rays, you can parent the source/hotspot of the flares/light rays to the same movement point you're using for the plane, so the flare/rays should center on the explosion. The area outside the page is called the desktop in CorelDraw - it performs a similar function to the pasteboard in other programs. I'm thinking a touch of glow, light flare, or even light rays on the explosion will break up that clean edge a bit and add a little of that interactive light to really sell the effect. But another issue with the explosion is that the edges of the fireball are very very clean at the moment. The way the plane starts to dip of of shot as the explosion start to dissipate really feels right. Just getting the lighting rig to light up that plane like Xmas when the explosion happens should be enough to sell the shot.īy the way, I really like your camera angle and motion path. (it's also why I suggested making a copy of your clouds, blurring, and using that as the environment wrap for the plane-you want a HINT of reflection, but not a detailed one.) it's not really a mirror surface, like glass, so having a detailed reflection of the explosion wouldn't be "realistic," anyway. To expand a bit-the fuselage of the plane is going to be metal with a semi-gloss paint on it. As you have learned, roto is tedious and annoying. It's something to think of for future projects, but, yeah, the plane explosion you're working on now is getting really good.) Kaveh Robinett has also showcased some really nice particle explosions on his reels, but I haven't re-found the reel yet. #Gideros layer behind moving object simulator#(with the shuttle crash, I wasn't suggesting you needed my explosion, just noting that Hitfilm's Particle Simulator is capable of doing very nice explosions. This way the explosion will throw more light on the plane, and help blend the elements together. Sample the fireball part of the explosion to give the point light the color of the fire and keyframe the intensity of the light so it starts at 0 and ramps up when the explosion happens. Instead, I am going to suggest parenting a point light to the explosion. Reflection from the explosion is a bit trickier, and I am going to sidestep that for a moment. This should give a hint of reflections from the clouds without being "too much." Try setting your model's diffuse/specular reflectivity to between 5-10%. Then, use this embedded copy as an environment map. What you can try is copying your cloud layers to an embedded composite shot, and putting some blur on the copy, and maybe desaturate a bit. I don't have 3DS nor have I used it so I cannot comment on that but Blender's learning curve is much higher than HitFilm's and the renders for smoke sims are quite long.Įnvironment maps are the way to reflect surroundings in an object, yes. Unless I absolutely need Blender I try and stick with HitFilm because it's more intuitive, faster and for the most part gets the job done. Depending on your level of knowledge of all the applications in question though will determine how easy it is to produce the final result you seek. It doesn't mean you won't be able to produce something convincing in HitFilm, I believe Kahveh made some pretty nice renders of explosions. #Gideros layer behind moving object full#Is it possible to make a real looking explosion for example with the paricle simulator like made in blender or 3DS if you have the knowledge or is this not possible with hitfilm? All I have seen until now made with hitfilm looks not truly realistic or comes close to it.įor something as specific as an explosion (smoke simulation), you'd probably be able to create a "more" convincing final product using Blender or 3DS max that are built around full 3D and have the modules specific for those types of applications. The origin of the industry's use of the word comes from cacao nibs, which are the bitter but very flavorful chocolate bits made from the beans of the cocoa tree. The confectionery industry has long used the word nibs to describe small pieces of a product. Nibs are bite-sized licorice pieces made for nibbling. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the longest licorice twist ever made measured 1,200 feet (370 m) and 100 pounds (45 kg) and was made at the Y&S Candy Plant in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1998. From 1970 through 1999, it was manufactured in Farmington, New Mexico, but relocated the operation to Memphis due to rising transportation costs. Since 1999, Twizzlers have been manufactured in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as Lancaster, in a Y&S plant that makes chewing gum and other candies. Y&S Candies was acquired by The Hershey Company in November 1977 in a pooling-of-interests, then merged into Hershey in January 1982. The company changed its name to Y&S Candies Inc. In 1908 a plant was opened in Montreal and in 1929 the Twizzlers brand was created. National Licorice Company was created in 1902 through the merger of three small firms: Young & Smylie, S.V. The company was established in 1845 as Young and Smylie, and adopted Y&S as its trademark in 1870. The manufacturer of Twizzlers candy is one of the oldest confectionery firms in the United States. Each day I learn more about growing up, and each day I learn more about friendship, which actually means love, and I continue to grow and glow. Some of us make it, some of us do not, but we do learn even if it is the 'hard' way. we humans are a strange and funny lot, we seem to know we have to walk our own path and make our own mistakes to grow up. Now, if we could only get them to listen, think of how much happier their lives would be. It is a born wisdom that the young have knowing it is wise to acknowledge their elders and learn what life lessons to overcome. The tortoise is as old as time and the baby hippopotamus has yet to find out what the world around him is really like, yet they accept each other without question. In this particular case age didn't matter one iota. We all seem to think we are 'perfect' and everyone else is not, but we soon find out that our flaws are just as big and as glaring as any other person on the planet. Why can't we humans open our hearts and minds and accept the differences in each other? Not one of is perfect, if we were, we wouldn't be here, that is for sure. So many times we have seen pictures from the animal world that shows what true friendship really means. If anyone tries to bother the tortoise the little hippo rises in its defense. The tortoise old and wise took the hippopotamus under it's care and they are best friends. In this particular case the baby hippopotamus was orphaned and during a huge storm, he or she, was blown and thrown into the area where the tortoise was and landed on it.
